She’ll also share personalized tips and tricks to help you bake these delicate treats to perfection in your own oven.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your technique, Emily will provide the guidance and support you need to succeed. With the ability to ask questions in real-time, you’ll leave the class more confident in your ability to create beautiful macarons!

Meet your instructor

Hi, I'm Emily

Emily has always had a deep love for macarons, particularly the idea of having them at special events. Coming from a long line of talented cooks and bakers from the Levantine region, she was raised with a strong appreciation for the rich traditions of baking. Over the years, baking with her family and friends became a creative outlet, fueling her passion. Always up for a challenge, Emily decided to try her hand at macarons, and after many failed attempts, she began perfecting them in 2021. After taking an online course with macaron expert Kirstynn Evans, her passion for macarons truly blossomed.

Her journey didn’t end there—Emily continued to grow her skills by taking several more classes, including traveling to New York to meet her macaron “sensei,” Kirstynn, in person, along with the woman who first taught her, Natália Mendonça. Talk about a full-circle moment! While there, she absorbed inspiring stories, participated in hands-on classes, and engaged in heartfelt conversations with like-minded bakers, forming genuine connections along the way.

This journey inspired Emily to begin teaching classes of her own, where she shares not only her technical skills but also the experiences she’s gained while baking for her own clients over the years. Each order has been a learning experience, filled with both ups and downs, but it’s through these challenges that growth happens.

Mastering the art of making macarons is a journey that requires patience, precision, and plenty of practice. If your first batch turned out perfectly, you’re one of the fortunate few! Each attempt brings us closer to creating those flawless, delicate treats. We also offer the option to host the class in your own kitchen for a more personalized experience — subject to additional costs based on location, travel, and group size. The location must be within a 30-mile radius of Kensington, MD. Please allow at least 2 weeks for scheduling.
